Steps to restrict shipping to logged-in WooCommerce users

Firstly, go to the admin panel of the WordPress website and click on the tab “WooCommerce”. You will see a panel opening at the right end.

You can see plenty of options like shipping, general settings, etc. Click on “Shipping”. You will see options like remove/ change/ add shipping zones.

The process to add a new shipping zone is quite simple. Tap “Add shipping zone”. You can then complete the form by adding “Zone regions” and “Zone name”. The settings can be applied.

For instance, by setting “Total price” as a condition for a table rate, you can specify what the shipping price will be for all products with a price in the range that you set. Choose any base price and label it according to you.

You can provide a cheaper price for shipping to your membership users. For this, you need to do small customization in the settings and go back to shipping panel options.

Click on the shipping method option “Logged in only”. Ensure to tick the option “Only for Logged in users”.

Now the shipping method option is only available to those who have a membership with you.

The users who are logged on can see the following shipping methods:-

  • Premium
  • Standard

The users can choose as per their interests. The moment you log out you can only get the “Standard shipping” option. The users who do not hold membership will be displayed this option.

Tick on the option, “Hide other methods”.

Make sure you visit the cart manually through your site and check both cases.
